Technogym postpones Let’s Move for a Better World campaign
March 12, 2020

Technogym has advised that it has taken “the difficult decision to postpone” its Let’s Move for a Better World social campaign, due to have been held this month, as a result of restrictions relating to Coronavirus outbreaks place in different countries.

Advising that the event will now be held from 5th to 24th October, Technogym released a statement explaining that “more than ever, (we stand) alongside fitness and wellness operators to support them dealing with the current scenario with digital technologies.”

Technogym stated that the decision resulted from feedback from many fitness club operators in different countries.

Let’s Move for a Better World is an initiative that leverages Technogym’s technology and connected equipment to motivate people around the world to join their local fitness club, to move more and more regularly, and to donate their movement for a social cause.

At its seventh edition, the Let’s Move for a Better World campaign in 2020 has registered an unprecedented success with over 1600 clubs already registered in 46 countries.

With this strong facility involvement, Technogym estimates that up to 500.000 people will take part in the campaign.

Technogym also points out that digital technologies offer operators additional ways to stay connected and to continue managing their members’ training experience remotely, citing research that shows that when members have the possibility to train outside the club they will be more loyal to the club in the mid to long term, even if for a period of time they cannot attend.

Technogym’s Mywellness team will provide free consultancies to all operators willing to learn more about digital technologies and opportunities to connect with members outside the facility.

Technogym has also withdrawn from next week’s IHRSA Convention in San Diego, USA.
