Leading admission control systems provider Gateway Ticketing Systems has revealed details of its latest version of the Galaxy Connect platform which now includes support for the new OCTO messaging specification which connects customers to global distribution channels.
The OCTO Core Specification V1 is an API specification which includes standardised field names, properties, and endpoints. This version offers a new, efficient approach for reservation systems, distributors, resellers, channel managers, and operators to integrate and communicate with one another.
With this integration, Gateway Ticketing Systems has made a significant advancement in its mission to improve travel experiences for customers, distributors, and attractions by streamlining the reservation process.
Access to new distributors
With the help of Galaxy Connect, which supports the new OCTO specification, venues can establish API connections with any trading partner who complies with OCTO in order to share product catalogues, check inventory availability, and send ticket orders.
Galaxy Connect connects visitors with distinctive experiences and adventures in locations all over the world by providing a comprehensive list of attractions, museums, zoos, aquariums, and other ticketed venues. The platform’s users now have straightforward access to new distributors, which can be quickly incorporated into their current ticketing platform.
The Galaxy Connect and OCTO Travel API integration offers:
Innovative integration
Introducing the innovation, Gateway Ticketing Systems President and Chief Executive, Michael Andre advised “we are excited to bring OCTO Travel API into our Galaxy Connect ecosystem.
"This integration aligns perfectly with our mission of simplifying distribution and providing attractions with unparalleled options and convenience in working with their choice of third-party distributors.
"With OCTO, we are now connecting our customers to even more distribution channels worldwide.”
Advising that Galaxy Connect now provides a comprehensive solution for attractions to manage their entire ticketing and booking solution with an end-to-end understanding of the guest journey, Tom Chiarella, Executive Vice President and Head of Product for Gateway Ticketing Systems and Vice President on the OCTO Board of Directors, added "being part of the effort to ensure open connectivity for suppliers and distributors has been an incredible experience.
“Our Galaxy Connect platform upgrade greatly complements the recent release of the OCTO specification, bringing performance, scalability, and now OCTO interoperability together. We continue to be dedicated to offering a top-notch connectivity platform for our supplier operators.”
Gateway Ticketing Systems has also recently announced that its referral partnership agreement with NetServ Applications has been extended.
