Vietnamese resort unveils new sound therapy wellness concept

InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort - a five-star resort nestled in 39 hectares of nature on Vietnam’s Son Tra Peninsula - has unveiled an original new wellness concept that explores the world of sound therapy to assist guests in tuning their body to the exact frequencies and vibrations needed to achieve physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing.

Mi Sol Spa is named after the tones in the musical scale – do, re, mi, fa, sol, la and ti – each of which has a specific vibration frequency and can enhance the flow of “qi”, or natural energy, around the body. For example, mi – 528 hertz – can stimulate love and restore equilibrium, while sol – 741 hertz – cleanses the body of toxins. Using tuning forks to harness these frequencies and blending them with ancient wisdom and modern science, this innovative wellness centre aims to help guests achieve complete relaxation and rejuvenation.

The spa’s immersive multi-sensory experience starts as soon as guests arrive. Perched above a natural lagoon in a hidden valley of the Son Tra Peninsula, this secluded sanctuary feels blissfully separated from the outside world. Bill Bensley’s original, organic design concept invites relaxation in eight treatment villas that are based on the tube shape of Quonset huts.
