Tokyo’s new Toyota Arena to stage opening event in October

Venue owner Toyota Fudosan Co Ltd, has advised that construction of Tokyo’s new Toyota Arena has been completed with opening scheduled for 3rd October.
The 10,000-capacity arena in the Odaiba Aomi Area of the Japanese capital will serve as the home of B.League basketball club Alvark Tokyo, which has delivered the project in collaboration with Toyota Motor Corporation.
The first event at the arena will be the team's opening game of the new Resona Group B.League 2025/26 season against Utsunomiya Brex.
After the opening, Toyota Alvark Tokyo will be responsible for the operation of the Arena which will also serve as a multi-purpose arena that can accommodate on a range of primarily sporting events.
The wider arena complex will also include the Adidas Sports Park, the Nikken Rental Joint Park and the Circular Farm South Garden.
The venue claims to be the first arena in Japan to be certified by the LEED, the US-based environmental certification organisation.
