Technogym moves forward with design innovations
November 9, 2021

Ongoing innovations by global fitness and wellness leader Technogym have seen the Italian company secure a major design award for its Technogym Bench while also announcing a partnership with French fashion house Dior.

The Technogym Bench, an all-inclusive functional training kit that combines elastic bands, hexagon dumbbells, weighted knuckles and a training mat in a compact footprint has been awarded with the ADI Design Index 2021 award, the prestigious internationally recognised prize assigned by ADI - Associazione per il Disegno Industriale (Italy’s Association for Industrial Design).

Every year ADI identifies the best in Italian design currently in production with selected products recognised for their originality and functional and typological innovation, the production processes adopted, the materials used and formal synthesis.

Particular attention is given to products that express respect for the environment, public and social value, attention paid to usability and interaction.

This year, ADI’s international committee has chosen Technogym Bench for its innovative design, attention to ergonomics and ease of use.

Technogym’s partnership with luxury brand Dior has seen the creation of an exclusive limited-edition series of fitness products, with the shared objective of inspiring a lifestyle guided by the values of health and excellence

The collaboration between the Technogym Research and Innovation Centre and the Dior creative team has combined design innovation and elegance to deliver a unique series of limited-edition products that include a treadmill, a multifunction bench and a wellness ball.

Produced in Italy at the Technogym Village, these special creations reflect a mutual commitment of inspiring a lifestyle that combines physical exercise and style to motivate people living a happier and healthier life.

Commenting on how the combined products represent symbols of excellence and attention to detail, embodying the values and culture shared by both brands, Nerio Alessandri, founder of Technogym and Wellness Designer, stated "this shared goal of excellence gives life to a limited series of innovative Technogym products interpreted with the Maison Dior’s unique allure.

“Created to inspire the concept of wellness with new generations, it also offers people the opportunity to live a unique and irresistible experience.”

Available exclusively in Dior boutiques worldwide starting in January 2022, the Dior and Technogym Limited Edition series features Technogym My Run for Dior, Technogym Bench for Dior and the Technogym Ball for Dior.
