TCL’s 2023 Australasian sponsorships highlight powerful connection between technology and sport

Global leading consumer electronics manufacturers, TCL, has demonstrated its commitment to its customers and sport with the announcement of several high-profile Australasian sports sponsorships, spanning a variety of disciplines across multiple markets.

Founded in 1981 and operating in the Australian market since 2004, TCL Electronics provides a wide range of products from TVs to washing machines. Officially partnering with the AFL
The AFL yesterday (23rd March 2023) announced a partnership with TCL. AFL welcomed TCL as the Official TV & Whitegoods Partner of the Toyota AFL Premiership Season and partner of Marvel Stadium’s TCL Supersuite.

With the 2023 Toyota AFL Premiership season underway and record crowds coming through the gates, the partnership will connect the AFL with TCL.

TCL will also host key customers, suppliers, and retailers throughout the year within the TCL Supersuite at Marvel Stadium and at AFL Events.

AFL Executive General Manager Customer and Commercial, Kylie Rogers notes "we are pleased to join forces with TCL Electronics, a global market leader in television and whitegoods.

“The partnership will connect our fans to innovative consumer products and bring to life ways to enjoy and experience our game.”

TCL Electronics Australia and New Zealand Managing Director, Hawk Zhang enthused “TCL is absolutely thrilled to be the Official TV and Whitegoods Partner of the AFL, which is undoubtedly one of the most exciting sports on the planet.

“We look forward to bringing together two brands that have a shared passion for peak performance, resilience, and the desire to inspire greatness.”

2023 Formula 1 Rolex Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne
TCL continues its partnership with the Formula 1 Rolex Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne as the Official Television Provider.

The circuit at Albert Park has increased grandstands and facilities to cater to what is expected to be an even bigger crowd than last year’s record-breaking attendance.

TCL will provide fans with the ultimate audio-visual coverage experience with the implementation of over 800 LCD TVs installed around the circuit, helping spectators catch the on-track action no matter where they are.

In addition to supplying more screens than ever before, TCL will also launch the TCL Recharge Lounge. The new lounge will provide motorsport fans with a dedicated zone to sit back, relax and recharge their electronic devices, while watching the races on the mega screen wall.

Crowds will also be able to get competitive and put their racing abilities to the test on the TCL racing simulator, along with daily prize giveaways.

Australian Grand Prix Corporation, General Manager of Sales and Commercial, Darian Misko shared “we’re delighted to welcome our major partner, TCL, back to the Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit for a second year. TCL will not only be providing more LCD TV screens than ever before, but also creating the brand-new TCL Recharge Lounge, which is expected to quickly become a fan favourite throughout the event.”

TCL Electronics Australia, National Marketing Manager, Rafael Mayen is thrilled to continue its role as the Official Television Partner of the Grand Prix, stating “TCL’s visual and audio technologies which is set to expand in the coming months with brand-new TVs and soundbars along with a wider choice of whitegoods - will put F1 fans in pole position to watch cars tear around Melbourne’s lakeside track in exhilarating detail and hear some of the best racing in the world through a fully immersive audio experience.

Expanding Basketball via FIBA Basketball World Cup Partnership
TCL is  preparing to deliver the world's largest basketball tournament and the sport's brightest stars to the Philippines ahead of the forthcoming FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023.

Beginning on 25th August, the three hosts - the Philippines, Japan, and Indonesia - will host the World Cup Group Phase. The competition will culminate on 10th September in Manila, Philippines, with the crowning of the 2023 champions.

Strengthening TCL's footprint in India through sponsorship of Sunrisers Hyderabad Cricket Team
TCL has also become an official partner of popular Indian cricket team Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) for the fourth year in a row, demonstrating its commitment to customers in India through the support of its most treasured national sport.

With the commencement of the 2023 cricket season at the end of this month, fans in India and globally will be glued to their TV sets in anticipation.
