SAii Phi Phi Island Village reopens with new facilities and upgraded accommodation
March 15, 2021

SAii Phi Phi Island Village, the newly-rebranded lifestyle retreat on Thailand’s Koh Phi Phi Don, has unveiled its revamped Hillside Pool Villas including a new two-bedroom option that becomes the resort’s top room category.

Previously known as Phi Phi Island Village Beach Resort, SAii Phi Phi Island Village underwent an extensive refurbishment before relaunching on 1st February this year, as part of SAii Resorts, the fun and fresh upper-upscale brand from S Hotels and Resorts PCL.

During the four-month renovation, overseen by acclaimed Bangkok-based design studio Last Word Studio, all of SAii Phi Phi Island Village’s tropical Thai-style bungalows, suites and villas were given a modern makeover, with bright, rustic-chic interiors.

The THB72 million (US$2.4 million) four-month reimagining, which encompassed SAii-inspired upgrades to the open-plan lobby, freeform pool, serene spa, sea-facing restaurants and lounges. Fresh brand concepts have been introduced, include Mr Tomyam, a casual poolside Thai fusion restaurant with alfresco seating; Lèn Be Well, which promises a personalised approach to wellbeing; and M.I.Y Aroma Lab, where guests can create their own bespoke bathroom products, such as shampoo, conditioner, shower gel or body lotion, using a variety of natural ingredients and scents. The resort’s Marine Discovery Centre continues to serve as a conservation hub for the entire region, offering interactive exhibitions and eco-sensitive excursions that play a pivotal role in preserving the environment.

Heights of exclusivity can be discovered at the One Bedroom Hillside Pool Villas (125 metre²) and brand new Two Bedroom Hillside Pool Villas (150 metre²), which are perched among the forest canopy.

Each villa comes fully equipped with modern amenities and technology, such as complementary Wi-Fi, satellite TV, a tea and coffee maker, mini bar, and the SAii concierge app, which allows guests to control every element of their stay from their smartphone.

A great night’s sleep is ensured by SAii’s exclusive ‘Creature Comfort’ pillows with guests then able to step out onto their expansive outdoor terrace, soak up panoramic views of Phi Phi Island and the azure Andaman Sea, unwind on sun loungers, cuddle up on a swing sofa, and take a dip in their sparkling private pool.

Along with its sister SAii resort in Phuket, which also opened on 1st February 2021, SAii Phi Phi Island Village will attract “InSAiiders” - experience-seeking explorers who value personal freedom, authentic encounters and a sense of discovery. These millennially-minded guests are tech-savvy, but also have a desire to look beyond the screen, engage in new adventures and conserve the environment.

Commenting on the new facilities and upgraded accommodation, Chao Treenawong, General Manager, SAii Phi Phi Island Village stated “we are thrilled to unveil our revitalised resort to the world. Becoming part of SAii Resorts, the free-spirited lifestyle concept from S Hotels & Resorts, gives us an outstanding opportunity to enhance our guest journeys and introduce exciting new concepts throughout the resort, from delectable dining to soothing spa sessions.”
