Medical Fitness Association announces partnership with Active Entities Consulting
January 11, 2022

David Flench, President of the US-based Medical Fitness Association (MFA), has announced a partnership with Active Entities Consulting to collaborate on the development of live events.

Flench told Australasian Leisure Management “we’ve seen what Active Entities can do with the terrific success they’ve had with their events.

“I believe that, given the synergy between our organizations, we can create the same success with our medical fitness audience.”

Despite the pandemic, Active Entities hosted two sold out symposiums in the USA in 2021, one in Pennsylvanie in May - the first live event for the industry in 2021, and a second event in August in Maryland.

Active Entities founder and President, Bobby Verdun commented “our formula for success is very simple.

“We found that people wanted to hear fresh information from both inside and outside the industry. So, we have partnered with a number of incredible presenters who are new to the MFA audience and who are excited to bring a fresh look and new tools to the industry”.

The first live MFA event for 2022 will be held in the Atlanta area in the state of Georgia in the coming months and which will feature a number of exciting nuances including an entertainment theme that will mix a bit of Hollywood with traditional fitness industry information.

Verdun added “being so close to Marvel Studios gives us an opportunity to connect the entertainment business and let the ‘best of the best’ show us how to create exceptional member experiences beyond what we currently do.

“If we’ve learned one thing from the pandemic, it’s that our fitness facility members missed interacting with each other and missed having fun with one another. They are not just looking to sweat … they are looking for fresh and entertaining experiences that, in turn, will boost their motivation and help them attain their fitness goals.”

Additionally, the group will bring in two keynote speakers to round out what will certainly be an exciting event backed by new vendors and sponsors in addition to the current MFA sponsors.

Active Entities Vice President, Richard Synnott concludes “our industry is at its best when we focus on relationship building … not just selling.

“To that end, our sponsors and vendors will be part of the show ... not just on the sidelines.”

The Medical Fitness Association, a non-profit organisation, was formed in 1991 to assist medically integrated health and fitness centres achieve their full potential.
