Boutique Fitness Studios appoints Jacinta McDonell to Board of Directors
January 6, 2022

Boutique Fitness Studios has appointed Jacinta McDonell of Anytime Fitness, as Director, Board Member and investor.

As co-founder of Anytime Fitness Australia, Fitness Industry Roll of Honour Inductee and a Director on the Hunger Project National Board, McDonell’s career promises to accelerate the growth of Boutique Fitness Studios.

Boutique Fitness Studios is a joint-venture Master Franchise Operation group led by Matt Gordin and several stakeholders, including Anytime Fitness Australia co-founder Jacinta McDonell, former AFL player Tory Dickson and professional cricketer James Pattinson. Boutique Fitness Studios aims to provide entrepreneurs with manageable, scalable and high-return franchise entry points into the wellness industry.

Delighted by her appointment, Boutique Fitness Studios Chief Executive Matt Gordin welcomes McDonell to the role noting “Jacinta is a leader who understands the wellness industry. Having grown Anytime Fitness to over 425 clubs within nine years, she has experienced all the highs and lows inherent in shaping a successful business.

“As a business Founder, Franchisor and Consultant, Jacinta has a strong grasp of global fitness trends, franchise development and brand building. But what most excites me is Jacinta’s rock-solid values and vision for the future.”

Gordin adds “I have full confidence in her leading the next generation of fitness franchises.”

In just over a year, Boutique Fitness Studios has sold 40 franchises across its three brands; CycleBar, StretchLab and Rumble while, last month the business confirmed its acquisition of Master Franchise rights in New Zealand.

Buoyed by these foundations, McDonell (pictured) looks forward to maximising personal and business performance.

“I am passionate about franchisees accessing the future of wellness through practised systems and innovative franchise brands.

“Joining Boutique Fitness Studios allows me to harness that passion and turn it into bold but achievable plans. Championing a boutique fitness experience for all - franchisees, customers and team members - is key to our success.

“I look forward to leading our team to achieve our ambitious plans and being empowered and inspired along the way.”
